Taking action for gender equality

Declared a major national cause, professional equality between women and men requires everyone to get involved. Since May 2018, discussions have been underway under the impetus of the Ministry of Labour to develop a methodology that will enable all companies with more than 50 employees to transition, within three years, from an obligation of means to an obligation of results in terms of gender equality.

These discussions have led to the creation of a gender equality index, which came into effect on 1 March 2020 for legal entities with more than 50 employees. The index comprises four indicators for companies with fewer than 250 employees and enables each company to measure its progress towards professional equality, with a minimum expected score of 75/100.

All companies with at least 50 employees must calculate and publish their Gender Equality Index every year by 1 March.

 

Grades obtained in 2025

  • Stiplastics: 97/100 (99/100 in 2024) – the decrease in the underrepresentation of an age group explains the fall of two points, which is therefore not taken into account in the calculation.
  • Rovipharm: 94/100 (93/100 in 2024) – due to the lack of representativeness in certain socio-professional categories by age group, the calculation of inequality in 2025 is individualised.
